There are no processes or services running with OneDrive in their names, but I did see 2 running services named OneSync*. There is no icon in the system tray for OneDrive. After attempting an uninstall of OneDrive, attempting to install from the provided link tells me the following. You can uninstall OneDrive from Programs and Features in the latest release of Windows 10 and then reinstall it from the link.

Well, they didn't kill of the functionality because it still works on my computer in both OneDrive and OneDrive for Business. Is Microsoft intentionally killing off Windows? Is this death by a thousand cuts? And, where the hell is my "Share a OneDrive link" context menu link? Now, after I had created the screenshots above and typed all of this into the Microsoft OneDrive forum textbox, at the bottom I see this. So how do I get back the simple "Share a one drive link" context menu option that just shared OneDrive files from a simple link? Basically the installer pops up a message that says "A newer version of OneDrive is installed" and will not re-install OneDrive. Well kcuf me.now the forum won't let me add any more screenshots I guess. So I searched around and found an answer from a Microsoft Forum Moderator that advised another person to re-install OneDrive and they gave a link. I swear to God Microsoft is just trying to make Windows less and less user friendly. It looks like a Microsoft app of some sort, but why wouldn't Microsoft know that OneDrive is already installed on my Windows 10 Pro PC? Why would I want to install OneDrive again, and how would that screw up my current OneDrive installation?

I don't know what this menu is or where it came from, but I don't want it. Seems to be a Microsoft app that I didn't ask for or want. You can see a context menu item that says "Share" but I have no idea where it came from. It looked like this.īut now when I right click a file in OneDrive on Windows 10 Pro, that context menu link is no longer there. There used to be a link that allowed me to share files in OneDrive just by clicking it and sharing the link generated.
